Social and Economic Aspects of Scaling up an Innovative Project for Protecting Territories from Flooding

The article examines the social and economic aspects of an innovative project to create and scale up manufacturing of products from plastic waste within the framework of catastrophe theory and strategic management. The objectives of the project are to provide rapid protection for territories and settlements from seasonal floods and high water by constructing quick-build dams using plastic structures, as well as to enable the use of organized labor for the construction of dams. The project emphasizes the social significance of two factors of production: labor and entrepreneurial ability. The paper analyzes social significance of the project, its stages, economic characteristics, and time parameters. The author concludes that the systematic development and scaling of the project with the involvement of all interested economic entities, state and public structures will lead to an increase in the socio-ecological and economic effects of the development of territories and economic entities.
