Social media as a means of increasing the knowledge interest of pupils

The relevance of this article is due to the fact that distance learning has been very actively introduced into the educational process recently. Today, the use of the Internet has become a basic need for the modern generation, information technologies are becoming an indispensable component of educational programs. This work examines the pedagogical possibilities of social networks in the learning process. The advantages and disadvantages of using social networks as an educational tool are presented. Their main functions are highlighted, such as communication, self-realization, socialization, identification, exchange of information and leisure. It also discusses some of the features that attract a wide range of users to this area. The experience of introducing an educational blog on mathematics into pedagogical activity is described
