Social networks in the system of higher education: opportunities, challenges and prospects

This article analyzes the possibilities and problems of using social networks for the various participants in the educational process. The authors prove the necessity of the using social networks in the various activities of the educational institutions for the successful organization of a multi-level interaction between all participants. In the article the special attention is paid to the analysis of the difficulties that arise in the implementation of information technology in the educational environment, and possible solutions are suggested to these problems.
