The article presents a vision for the study of the bio-social phenomena of imprinting and impressing within the scope of socio-humanitarian knowledge, in line with modern scientific trends towards interdisciplinarity. It is shown that the interest in these phenomena, which has gone beyond the framework of ethology into the social and humanitarian field and the transfer of emphasis in their biosocial nature from the biocomponent to the sociocultural one, makes it possible to outline scientific prospects for their multidimensional study, significant from both theoretical and practical points of view. It seems productive to analyze the functioning of imprinting and impressing as mechanisms for the formation of value guidelines and behavioral reactions of individuals in various spheres of public life: morality, religion, politics, art, economics, etc. he necessity of defining the role of social imprinting and impressing as mechanisms for managing public consciousness with various consequences is identified. The significance of recognizing the role of impressing as a catalyst for human creative activity, which under favorable socio-cultural conditions leads to significant achievements in science, art, and social life, is particularly emphasized. It is shown that on the scale of social and humanitarian knowledge, imprinting and impressing appear as phenomena, the functioning of which demonstrates a close connection between the biological and sociocultural, rational and irrational, individual and social.
