Socio-cultural conditionality of the ethical culture of the teacher

Th e article addresses an idea of ethical culture, from ancient times to the present, views the opinion of prominent philosophers of each period on this issue, gives a brief description of the understanding of ethical culture in each epoch. Th e concept of ethical culture is considered from the point of view of philosophy, sociology, psychology, law, and economics. Th e article focuses on the concept of ethical culture of a teacher based on theoretical research and generalization of the opinions of philosophers of the relevant period on this aspect. Th e object of the research is the interaction of teacher and student within the framework of the concept of professional ethics. Th e author draws att ention to the commonalities and diff erences in understanding the concept of teacher ethics in relation to each epoch. Th e article reveals the concept of professional ethics of a teacher depending on the era. Th e work is based on analytical materials describing the teacher’s role in learning process in each of the epochs. Th e article suggests for further scientifi c understanding the features of the formation of ethical qualities of a teacher depending on the sociocultural conditions. Th e article allows us to get an idea of the peculiarities of the formation of teacher’s ethical culture in diff erent historical and cultural eras. Th e relevance of the research is due to the increasing att ention in society to teacher behavior and confl ict situations at school. Th e purpose of the study is to retrospectively evaluate the features of the formation of an ethical culture of a teacher depending on the historical period and to draw parallels with modern society and current processes.
