Social and cultural nature of the family and parenthood

The article raised questions the Genesis family and parenthood. Parenthood is addressed in three guises: as a biological, psychological and sociocultural phenomenon. The starting point is the institution of fatherhood and motherhood. The author analyses the conceptual positions of a wide range of foreign and domestic academics on family and parenting. The article notes that this phenomenon arose in the early stages of slave society, it is by its nature is closely linked to the public need to reproduce generations continuity rules, sanctions, regulating the care. It is noted that in the social and cultural aspect of family, filled with fatherhood, motherhood and children associated in the mind of the person with the personal and public prosperity.
