The socio-cultural space of the national architecture the case of Kubachi house)

The authors view the space of traditional folk architecture as a cultural text. The relevance of the research is determined by the need to preserve authentic culture in the context of globalization. In recent years, Dagestan, and in particular the village of Kubachi, have become objects of tourist interest, and therefore, there is a need to study the socio-cultural characteristics of the region. The authors make an attempt to a philosophical analysis of Dagestan folk architecture on the example of the village Kubachi. It is noted that the house is one of the most conservative elements of culture and it represents a model of the world. The authors use the method of comparative analysis of national characteristics of housing construction, in order to identify common and special in traditional culture. The authors come to the conclusion that understanding of the “house” as a socio-cultural space brings us closer to understanding the mentality of culture-bearers.
