Social and cultural contradictions among modern young people

The social and cultural contradictions are interpreted as a significant structural element of social and cultural identity of young people. They are considered to be a core component of the social and cultural dynamics all over the world and serve as both negative and positive factors in society’s development. The study reveals the key challenges of society’s unrealistic expectations in cultural and social fields. In the author’s opinion, while studying youth issues, a social and cultural approach can be applied in the context of contradictions between the social and cultural spheres of society. The research describes the basic concepts of this approach as well. The author analyzes different definitions of social and cultural contradictions and gives the novel one. The aspects of such contradictions are determined, and the ways to address them are proposed.
