The paper discusses the sociological understanding of the communicative and legal culture of youth in modern sociocultural society. Based on the analysis of various scientific concepts of the past and the present, it is noted that the formation of the communicative and legal culture of an individual is a long, multifaceted and comprehensive process that requires the development of various aspects of life in society by instilling legal, communicative, ethical and moral value orientations in an interconnected relationship. The study also notes that the formation of the communicative and legal culture of youth in modern conditions is accompanied by certain difficulties, which include statism, sociocentrism, ethicocentrism, i.e. the predominance of collectivism, collegiality over individualism. The study describes the mechanisms and methods aimed at improving the communicative and legal culture of youth. The conclusions are given about the significance of the studied issues, justified by the fact that in order to achieve democracy, humanity and justice, to improve the communicative and legal culture of young people, complementarity of communicative, legal and moral foundations is needed to structure and improve people’s livelihood and communicative world.
