Бесплатный доступ

The content of zinc in the hair of puberty athletes was studied. The comparison was made with a group of teenagers who do not play sports. Atomic emission spectrometry and mass spectrometry with inductively coupled argon plasma were used to determine the content of trace elements. The results were compared with the recommended reference values (25-75 centile interval). The content of zinc in biosubstrates in adolescents included in the survey was within normal values. At the beginning of the preparatory period, athletes had significantly lower zinc content than in the control group. In the precompetition period, the zinc content of athletes decreased.
