Expertise, knowledge and skills acquired by a student as a result of his or her education at an academic institution of higher education, including his or her personal qualities, obviously, reflect not only the status and the level of a particular higher education institution, but also the further achievements of professional activity, its cultural, educational, sports and other value for the society and history, what is more, it is not so important in which specific area he or she will be involved as a «professional unit» (coach, teacher, psychologist, etc.). The study devoted to one of the most relevant issues at the moment - to the role of historical sciences in the system of higher education is connected with key questions and aspects, disclosing the content, the role and the place of physical education history in the pedagogical preparation process of personnel of physical education and sports field in the framework of the modernization of higher education in the Russian Federation...
