This article discusses the key features of training pianists-accompanists to work with the opera clavier. The activities of a concertmaster are often associated with work with vocalists, whose repertoire includes fragments of scenes and solo numbers from operas. The reproduction of the features of the orchestral score of operas on the piano has its own characteristics and is an important component of the training of future specialists. The content of the undertaken research consisted of such aspects as the interpretation and transmission of the orchestral texture, the peculiarities of playing the pedal, the interpretation of the dashed palette of the orchestral score, the performance of the accompaniment and the specifics of the phrasing, the peculiarities of the performance of the melodic line.
