The maintenance and rearing Galleria mellonella in the laboratory conditions

In this study were investigated technologies rearing Galleria mellonella in laboratory conditions. The conditions for Galleria mellonella differ depending on your aims, and vary considerably different authors. The main condition of the described structures is the presence of ventilation openings to prevent moisture and air circulation. The ranges of temperature, relative humidity and the composition of artificial nutrient media have been analyzed. The optimal temperature range is 200C at a relative humidity of 50-75%. For a nursery (container) researchers use different materials - wood, glass, plastic.
