The article considers the substantive aspect of the training of Chinese language teachers at a linguistic university. The problem of the orientation of Russian universities towards teaching students the normative Chinese language (Putonghua) is outlined, which does not allow them to apply the acquired knowledge in practice in a real language environment in various provinces of China, determines the diffi culties of perceiving local dialects, misunderstanding of the cultural context. The relevance of the selection of the foreign language content of teaching Chinese etiquette is substantiated, taking into account the dialectal variations of the speech formulas of the Chinese language. The purpose of the study is to identify the content of teaching regional peculiarities of Chinese-language etiquette in the framework of the training of Chinese language teachers at the linguistic university. The results of solving a research problem related to the analysis of the features of regional forms of Chinese-language etiquette, namely dialectal variations of such politeness formulas as greeting and apology, are presented. The analysis is carried out using the example of a comparison of speech formulas of politeness in the northern and Cantonese dialects and the Wu dialect. It is concluded that the work carried out is important for the formation of students’ ability to apply theoretical knowledge and skills in practice, successfully cope with diffi culties in perceiving dialects of diff erent groups, and for the education of the next generation of Chinese language teachers.
