Objective: to reproduce PTSD-like state and to define correlation between pronouncement of cognitive disorders, corticosterone level and level of endogenous molecular products in the brain. Materials and methods: to reproduce PTSD-like state we used “Predator exposure (cat)”. To estimate behavioral reactions we used actinographs. Corticosterone level in serum was evaluated using fluorometric micromethod. Content of molecular POL products was estimated according to method of Volchegorsky et al. Findings: we reproduced main attributive features of posttraumatic stress disorders (PTSD): delayed increase in anxiety level and changes of behavioral reactions with simultaneous corticosterone decrease and increase in molecular POL products in the brain. Conclusion: PTSD in rats is followed by modification of free radical oxidation processes in the brain. It becomes apparent through delayed change in level of all main POL both in heptane and in isopropanol phases.
