The article clearly demonstrates the stages of the pedagogical modeling carried out by the author from the construction of the model itself to the practical (empirical) verification of knowledge obtained on the basis of the model and the possibility of using them to construct a general theory of the development of professional self-determination of students.The scheme of the structural-functional model is presented. It includes interrelated and interdependent blocks (objective, conceptual, methodological, substantive, criterially-evaluative and effective) that reveal the internal organization (content, structure) of the process of development of professional self-determination of a bachelor on the basis of the formation of information competence
