The content of customs control in the modern Russian legal system

The article considers the content and significance of customs control as a legal institution. The author draws attention to the fact that customs control is important not only for customs affairs, but also directly affects the political, economic, legal and social policy of the state. The institute of customs control should be subject not only to the principles of customs affairs, but also to the general legal principles of the Russian legal system, among which the principle of justice occupies a dominant place, which allows taking into account the interests of both the state and civil society as a whole.
