Correlation of concepts "mental representation" and "image of the world" in psychology

The article presents the main approaches of general psychology to understanding the phenomenon of the world image representation. The concepts of 'mental representation' and 'image of the world' are defined. The image of the world expressed in the concept of person’s mental representation is considered as a processual and resultative aspect of world cognition developing the image of the world as a holistic and dynamic reality of the personality.
