The relationship between the concepts of a banking transaction and a banking operation

In this article, the author analyzes the concepts of banking operation and banking transaction as the key categories that determine the essence of banking activity. The differences between these concepts are given, based on the ratios of these categories in various parameters. The list of banking transactions and banking operations established by the Russian legislation in the banking sector is examined, and based on the analysis, a conclusion is made about the categorical non-coincidence of the studied concepts.
