The author examines the relationship between departmental procedural control and prosecutorial supervision by analyzing the provisions of criminal procedural legislation regulating the procedural rights of the head of the investigative body and the prosecutor. The author's arguments are given that the prosecutor has not lost the ability to influence the course and results of the investigation, as well as the adoption of procedural decisions by the investigator. It is proposed to introduce amendments and additions to the RF Criminal Procedure Code.
