Comparative analysis of medical abbreviations in the German language

The article deals with the issues of thematic and etymological analysis of abbreviations of the German sublanguage of medicine. The sublanguage of medicine is intensively developing and is constantly updated with new terminological units. A special role is given to abbreviations, the study of which is associated with some difficulties for future doctors. The purpose of this work was the systematization and generalization of abbreviations of the German sublanguage of medicine. The main research method used in the work was the comparative method and techniques of etymological analysis.
