The estate youth policy: a historical background of mechanisms of state regulation in the youth field

The article is devoted to the historical origins of the state youth policy as a complex institutional phenomenon. Justifying the need to expand the boundaries of historical existence of the state youth policy in Russia, the author proposes to introduce into scientific circulation a concept of estate youth policy, that reveals some incipient elements of state influence on the youth of the various classes of Russian society. The authors consider that the complex of these elements is an evidence of the presence of the estate youth policy in Russia up to the beginning of the 19th century. The key conclusion of the article is the idea that estate youth policy has anticipated the emergence of a unified state youth policy. This policy was formed thanks to the emergence of students as a special social group in the structure of Russian society.
