Parameters of mineral-corticoid function of adrenal glands in patients with bronchial asthma were analyzed depending on severity of disease, expressiveness of bronchial obstruction, hypoxemia and the treatment performed. The study results demonstrated important disorders in aldosterone secretion in patients suffered from bronchial asthma. Degree of these changes directly depended on bronchial obstruction, exacerbation of bronchopulmonary infections and hypoxemia. Glucocorticoids in cases of severe asthma resulted in normalized function of adrenal glands zona glomerulosa.
