In the present research intensity of free-radical oxidation is defined at an experimental burning injury of middle and severe severity levels. The free-radical oxidation in blood was examined using the iron induced chemicoluminescence method. The authors demonstrate that thermal trauma irrespective of severity level is accompanied by the activation of free-radical oxidation. Its intensity depends on the severity of the burning injury. The burning toxemia of the 3-4 severity level burns is characterized by decrease of hydroperoxides of lipids and intensity of oxidation of lipids in blood.
