The aim of the study was to evaluate biochemical composition, antiradical and antioxidant activity of gastric supraepithelial mucous layer in 100 patients with stomach ulcer associated with Helicobacter pylori before and after eradicating therapy as well as in supplementary administration of venter. Biochemical and lumenometric techniques were used. The study revealed significant differences of the same indices in healthy individuals due to the secretion of unmature glycoproteins and increase of antioxidant and antiradical non-serum activity of gastric native mucus. Positive changes in the status of antiradical and antioxidant protective function of the supraepithelial mucous layer and blood plasma in patients with gastric ulcer associated with Helicobacter pylori were not observed. Supplementary administration of the preparation venter in patients receiving anti-secretory and eradicating therapy resulted in positive changes of antioxidant and antiradical activity as well as in biochemical composition of gastric supraepithelial mucous layer.
