Cooperation between the USSR and MPR in education and science in the XX century in the national historiography

The article is devoted to problems of Mongol historiography in Russia on the verge of the XXI century. It identifies the major chronological milestones of Mongolian studies in the USSR in the field of education and science. The author singles out features of the formation of the Mongol historiography in the Baikal region.
