Improvement of electronic learning in higher educational institutions on the basis of cloud computing

Modern technological paradigms of teaching enable teachers to support the development of highly professional human resources. The rapid introduction of cloud computing into teaching practice creates a professional need to study the technological capabilities of cloud educational services to choose the best educational solutions among the available options. In this regard, this article presents a theoretical overview of the levels of cloud architecture of e-learning and models of its deployment in the education system. To test the adaptability of learning management systems to the model of joint distance learning, a study was conducted among teachers of I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, Novosibirsk State University and N.I. Lobachevsky National Research University using Blackboard Learn LMS as an example. This study involved 100 people who tested the learning capabilities of Blackboard Learn. The conducted research made it possible to highlight the main advantages of using computer applications of e-learning in the process of organizing and supporting the educational process. Among them are convenient means of processing educational content, effective organization of the educational process, effective knowledge monitoring tools, as well as an effective security and privacy system. This paper also examines the advantages of implementing cloud-based e-learning in higher education institutions as producers of an integrated educational product. The study confirmed that the introduction of cloud computing in education leads to improved learning content and can significantly improve students' academic results thanks to updated learning technologies, concepts and tools.
