Improvement of methodological techniques of students' discussion activities and their experimental implementation in history lessons

The article is devoted to the experimental introduction of debatable teaching methods in history lessons in high school. It examines the most effective methodological techniques for organizing a discussion, as well as the features of its preparation and conduct in the process of teaching history at school. The necessity of using discussion technology is emphasized in order to form such competencies of students as the ability to independently find and analyze information, the ability to formulate, justify and defend their point of view on historical issues. This paper reveals not only theoretical, but also practical aspects of the organization and conduct of discussion in history lessons, and also substantiates promising approaches using discussion to the development of a problematic teaching method.
