Improving the ability to express temporal relations in Turkish students learning Russian (on the material of sports texts)

The results of a study are presented, the object of which is the conditions for the effectiveness of a teacher’s work in improving the skills of expressing temporary relationships among Turkish students studying Russian as a foreign language. The subject of the study is the possibility of using texts with sports content to improve the effectiveness of training of Turkish students in the area under consideration. The purpose of the work is to substantiate the possibility of developing didactic materials based on texts of sports discourse and the model of their use in a Turkish-speaking audience using communicative and conscious-comparative methods. Based on the results of generalization of theoretical and analysis of linguistic materials on the topic of the article, pedagogical design, a methodically sound and empirically tested system of tasks and exercises is presented, which is based on material from texts on sports topics that stimulate the speech activity of Turkish students in the classroom. In the absence of ethno-oriented grammar manuals, this system makes it possible to solve important learning problems and increases the efficiency of students’ assimilation of means of expressing temporal relations in the Russian language.
