Preparation of librarians for professional and pedagogical activity in modern conditions

The article considers some aspects of psychological and pedagogical training of a modern library worker in a higher educational institution. Professional-pedagogical activity of the librarian, differs, on the one hand, the complexity and integrity, the complexity of the individual areas, is an activity aimed at the upbringing, education, personal development reader specific means and methods of library work, under the influence of certain factors, most important of which are the book and the librarian as a teacher. Psychological and pedagogical training should occupy a central place in the general and professional development, as it contributes to the formation of readiness of the future specialist to perform professional and pedagogical activities on the basis of pedagogical and psychological theory and methods of work with readers.
