The introduction of modern information technologies into its work should rightfully be recognized as a stable trend in the development of the domestic judicial system at the present stage. Their application makes it possible not only to improve the quality and timing of the administration of justice, but also to form an innovative approach to the development of the Russian judicial system. Civil procedure legislation is being actively integrated into the electronic justice system. We conducted an analysis of theoretical provisions, norms of legislation and practice of its application, which revealed the lack of a unified approach to electronic justice. This article discusses various approaches to understanding the term "electronic justice", and considered the points of view of several scientists. We have revealed that e-justice has its own system of principles, along with the general principles of civil procedure. These include the principle of remote work and the principle of information openness. As a result, we analyzed the problematic aspects of electronic justice and proposed a definition of the term "electronic justice".
