The soviet press in the system of public control over Soviet militia in 1917-1930

The article considers the place and role of the mass media in the implementation of public control over the Soviet militia in the period from 1917 to 1930. Particular attention is paid to the Soviet press that was the most important means of informing the public about the events taking place in the state at that time.
