Joint activity and language as factors of formation of the higher personality psyche

The socio-psychological foundations of the formation of the higher mental functions of a person are revealed. The article considers cultural and historical factors contributing to the formation of consciousness and self-consciousness in ontogenesis - the interaction of individuals in activity and the language that they use in actions and communication. It is shown that the practical use of language in activity and communication enables individuals to master the aforementioned ideas about themselves, objective reality, express them through speech, and also contributes to the formation and development of higher mental functions in new generations of people.
