Modern paradigm of university students' socialization

The problem of young people's socialization under modern significantly changing conditions of society development, that sometimes has a negative impact on the level of civil self-awareness and youth individualization, is gaining importance. The research solves the above-mentioned problem in accordance with the changes of the traditional paradigm of socialization. In the current paradigm the author points out two aspects of socialization which have significant impact on the personality development in the university education environment. Insufficient rationale of theoretical background and its practical application in youth socialization requires to address theoretical and methodological approaches. The paper describes the basic definitions, content, integrating tendencies in solving the problem of young people's socialization. The research shows the practicability in forming the civil self-awareness of university students based on the conventional system of value orientations and moral norms utilizing to the full the personal potential. The author offers the performance criteria of the process, and describes the pedagogical experience of the problem solution.
