The modern environmental sculpture of Samara

The article examines basic questions regarding such concept as environmental sculpture, which got its spread in recent years in the regional culture. There are peculiarities with regard to new approaches to content and aesthetic expression, which are directly related to the global trend of art development and the artistic processes that have strongly pronounced social character. The prevailing trends in the creation of sculptural works of Samara city are observed, their thematic focus with the new environment formation in the places of installation of new facilities. Researched issues related to the functional characteristics of contemporary plastic art is undergoing various metamorphoses in its evolution. The article analyzes the main trends regarding plastic features of modern environmental sculpture, specifics of the original embodiment, targeting impact on the viewer. Relationship between art, human and spatial environment based on the priority of regional public interest, new approaches to content and aesthetic expression is important.
