The article examines the evolution of constitutional and legal regulation of social rights in Russian legislation. The provisions of the constitutions of the RSFSR and the Soviet Union, as well as the Constitution of Russia of 1993, are analyzed, innovations and elements of continuity in the field of constitutional regulation of social rights of the individual are revealed.
