Catering is one of the socially organized forms to satisfy people’s needs; that is a form to satisfy people’s demands for organizing service that provides meals out. Social dimension of today’s market economy, orientation at creating conditions that provide dignified life and personal development stipulate the necessity of qualitative changes in catering in particular. The article considers catering market condition in the city of Tver after the economic crisis of 2008 and suggests the ways of its further development.
