A modern state of soybean production in Amur region

The Amur region is a leader of soybean production in Russia, 38% of sowing areas under soybean in the country is located on its territory. In 2014, a record quantity of soybeans - more than a million tons - was produced in the region that was 40% of all produced soybeans in Russia (more than 2.5 min t). The sowing areas under soybean in the Amur region for the period of 2009-2013 increased more than in 1.5 times. More than 600 thousand hectares, or more than 85% of the total sowing area under soybean, are occupied by cultivars of breeding of All-Russian Research Institute of Soybean. This crop is the basis of agriculture of Priamure. Its share in a total agricultural production of the region is about 30% of agricultural production in general, and more than a of a half cost of all crop production. In 2013, due to our estimations, it was produced soybeans for the sum over six billion rubles in the Amur region.
