This article addresses the modern aspects of using computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in preoperative planning for adrenalectomy, as well as the potential for employing the nnU-NetV2 neural network for automatic adrenal segmentation. Epidemiological data on the prevalence of benign and malignant adrenal tumors worldwide and in Russia are presented, highlighting the main challenges of surgical treatment and the critical role of imaging in choosing an optimal intervention strategy. Special attention is given to the development of three-dimensional (3D) models based on automatic segmentation, aimed at improving visualization and planning accuracy. The conclusion drawn is that combining advanced imaging techniques with artificial intelligence opens new avenues for enhancing the effectiveness and safety of surgical treatment for adrenal tumors. The aim of the work was to analyze modern imaging methods for adrenal tumors and evaluate the potential of using the nnU-NetV2 neural network for automatic segmentation of CT and MRI images during preoperative planning of adrenalectomy.
