Modern mechanisms of formation of educational motivation of university students

This article examines student motivation in the light of modern mechanisms of its formation. Against the background of the transformation of society in recent years, there have been trends towards changing the nature of the mechanisms that affect school graduates in further self-determination and choosing a higher educational institution to continue their studies. The influence of certain motives that a person appeals to allows him to make those decisions that directly affect the choice of a specialty and profession. Changes in the higher education system associated with the transition period from the usual levels of education - bachelor’s and master’s degrees towards a combination of a specialty and a two-level system of the same bachelor’s and master’s degree puts future specialists in front of a difficult choice. Gamification of education is one of the forms of student involvement in education. The change of the educational paradigm requires the society to develop new mechanisms to increase motivation among students.
