Vascular malformations are vascular lesions that are benign in structure, metabolic processes, and histochemical properties, although at the beginning of their development, they have rapid growth. The article presents various methods for the diagnosis and treatment of hemangiomas in children and the rationale for the effectiveness of the diagnostic methods used. An analysis of the coincidences and discrepancies between the final clinical diagnosis made as a result of histological examination of a distant tumor and diagnoses made using different diagnostic methods showed that auscultation of the neoplasm provides the least reliable data, and the most accurate information is provided by a puncture biopsy. However, it should be borne in mind that more accurate diagnostic methods are less economically accessible (for example, computed tomography) and carry potential risks during the study (for example, tumor puncture).
