The leading role in the diagnosis of dentofacial abnomalies belongs to radiological techniques. The introduction of computed tomography has revolutionized dental practice. Purpose: assessment of diagnostic possibilities of computer tomography of the maxillofacial area in the orthodontic practice of dentists. Materials and methods: data of computed tomography of patients at different stages of orthodontic treatment, obtained by CT PICASSO TRIO 3D DENTAL IMAGING. Results of 30 patients computer tomographies were obtained and studied. The empiric data show the benefits of CT over the standard X!ray, and acquired experience testifies to the need of conducting this study almost to every patient.
