Введение. В настоящее время стенты используются при лечении различных доброкачественных и злокачественных заболеваний верхних мочевых путей и уретры. Современные стенты, изготовленные из сверхэластичного сплава, покрытые полимером, независимо от локализации характеризуются более высокой и длительной проходимостью с точки зрения декомпрессии и облегчения обструкции, меньшим количеством ирритативных симптомов мочеполовой системы и отсутствием необходимости в частой замене, что приводит к улучшению качества жизни, помимо экономии средств. Несмотря на многообещающие результаты, в литературе имеется мало исследований, касающихся использования стентов в урологии, и они, как правило, являются одноранговыми, ретроспективными, с участием небольшого числа пациентов и основаны на личном опыте хирурга.
