Modern problems in the treatment of high-grade gliomas (short literature review)

SummaryThe results of treatment of high-grade gliomas still remain unsatisfactory. This review of Russian and foreign studies is dedicated to the main achievements and problems in the treatment of high- grade gliomas. The article examines promising ways of further improvement of the results of treatment of primary high-grade gliomas, in particular, optimization of the radiotherapy program (reduction of the volume of irradiation), as well as the combination of radical treatment with oncothermia.
