Modern realities and prospects of tourism development in the Republic of Dagestan

The Republic of Dagestan in recent years has shown record figures for the development of domestic tourism. In Dagestan there are the oldest cities of Russia, picturesque mountains, ancient villages, original culture, which have become popular not only with Russian, but also with foreign tourists. Such an increase in popularity has a beneficial effect on the economy of both the region and the country as a whole. For the further development of tourism in the region, many projects are planned, including a project for 250 million rubles on the formation of the tourist code of the ancient city of Derbent. The article presents statistical data on the main indicators of tourism development in Russia, analyzes these data using the Regression analysis package in MS Excel 2019 and calculates forecast values of the volume of services of travel agencies, tour operators and other booking services and related services in the Russian Federation (in billions of rubles) for 2024, 2025. Confidence intervals show the possible limits of the change in the forecast values in the predicted period.
