Current trends in updating school textbooks abroad

A number of areas for updating textbooks in foreign countries are considered. Using the example of the USA, France, China, and Latin American countries, updating the content of textbooks by unifying them or increasing diversity is analyzed. The change in the structure of modern textbooks is demonstrated: interdisciplinary integration in educational materials is shown. Particular attention is paid to the creation of electronic forms of modern textbooks. It is concluded that modernization processes in the educational systems of foreign countries, oriented towards a competency-based approach, are accompanied by the updating of textbooks.
