Modern requirements for teachers of higher educational institutions in the field of use of modern information and communication technologies

The article discusses the basic requirements for the use of modern information and communication technologies by teachers of higher educational institutions. The basic skills and abilities required from higher education teachers to organize the educational process in a traditional format are described, including the preparation of teaching materials for conducting classrooms and organizing independent student learning. New requirements for teachers on the organization of distance learning introduced as part of quarantine measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection are also given.
