The article deals with the culturological bases of aesthetic education and modern students up-bringing by means of a theatrical art. We also analyze the role of theatre arts in the process of studying the base high school humanitarian discipline - «Cultural science». In the methodological plan we compare art criticism and culturological aspects of the students preparation as real and /or potential theatrical spectator.
