Introduction. Creating pedagogical conditions for personal growth of a teacher at an educational organization of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs is necessary to overcome the crisis of professional competence, arising largely due to reforms in higher education and is the fundamental goal of pedagogical search in higher education. Achieving this goal is largely connected with the creation of «encounter groups» with a facilitation focus. Materials, Results and Discussion. As part of traditional teaching, it is proposed to intensify the process of personal growth and self-actualization of each teacher. For this purpose, for the formation of productive «encounter groups» in the educational organization of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it is advisable to use the methodology for their creation proposed by C. Rogers. The creation of existentially-focused «encounter groups» among teachers will help to reduce the problem of optimizing the interaction between the traditions of higher education and bearers of clip thinking.
