An inbred sunflower line LG30 with increased level of palmitic acid in the seed oil was developed in the result of wide-scale screening. Fatty acid composition is; 24 % of palmitic, 4 % of palmitoieic, 1% of palmitolinoleic, 3 % of stearic, 8 % of oleic and 60 % of linoleic acid.
